Dr. Osman Mohamed MD

IN TODAY'S HEALTH CARE landscape, it has become imperative to have a contact list full of excellent medical professionals. Luckily, Detroit is blessed with some of the best. The metro Detroit population is serviced by high-quality, cost-effective, patient-centric doctors, and Dr. Mohamed Osman is one of them.

Dr. Osman, a specialist who operates Great Lakes Pain Management Center in Wyandotte, is also the medical director at University Pain Clinic in Detroit.

Additionally, he is an assistant professor at Wayne State University's Detroit Medical Center School of Medicine.

"I am inspired by my patients," Dr. Osman says.

"Many of my patients live with pain, and that's no way to live. My goal is to provide high-quality treatment that evaluates the patient from a holistic perspective.

I'm a realist; not all pain will go away. However, I am deeply committed to improving my patients' quality of life and to facilitating their engagement in various activities."

Dr. Osman's credentials are stellar. He became chief resident in the anesthesia department at SUNY, New York, and then sub specialized in the field of pain management at Detroit's Henry Ford Hospital. He holds multiple boards in his field, and is an active member in a number of professional societies.

"I take time with my patients to ensure a deep understanding of their needs," he says. "I believe in creating close relationships with my patients based on trust, and on having open discussions while trying to make their daily routine easier. I try to introduce nom-pharmacological treatments, to decrease dependency on opioid pain medication. When my patients report less pain or they're able to get back to work and enjoy life better, that's what motivates me to wake up every morning and work even harder.

"I stick to my core values and keep a positive attitude, Dr. Osman continues. "I work hard, my family is very supportive, and I'm granted the opportunity to help people every day. I am truly blessed."
